Abstract:
Diversity Sourcing and Recruiting
Sourcing for diversity candidates doesn’t have to be difficult. You can use many different techniques including resume searches, speaker bios, associations, organizations, social networks, and more. It’s no secret that corporations are pushing to hire more diversity engineering candidates. They have been and they will continue to do so. This session will demonstrate how to easy it can be to source for these candidates. We will show you search strings that you can immediately take home and put to use. No matter which sourcing method you use, there is a way to turn it into a diversity search. We will also talk about practical methods when approaching these candidates and the messaging that could use. Depending on the candidate, job, and company, this message could be very different.

Greg Harezlak – Technical Recruiter, Twitter

Abstract:
Recruiters inherently have to work hard. It comes with the territory. However, one of the biggest struggles we face is how to work smart, efficiently, and effectively. Integrated engineering environments have tool chains in place to encourage developer productivity. I’ll be discussing the tool chain I’ve found to be the most effective at optimizing pipeline development, outreach, engagement and followup for sourcing passive talent. Some products/tools that will be discussed include: Connectifier, Eloqua, Text Expander, Outwit and more.

Bio:
Greg has worked in both agency and corporate environments, as well as for startups and mid-sized technology companies as both a Technical Sourcer and a Full Lifecycle Recruiter. He’s been featured in articles/posts such as: -“It Takes Two: Passive Candidate Recruiting from Both Sides of the Table” published by LinkedIn – “The Rare Recruiting WIN” published on the Recruiter Fail blog

Greg also spoke on passive candidate engagement at LinkedIn’s Talent Connect 2012 in Las Vegas. Currently he is a Technical Sourcer/Researcher for one of the largest social media companies in the world, Twitter.
